Greetings and welcome folks, I guess this will be the first blog post you ever read on our soon to be launched Soaring Scavengers website. Building a website really tugs on your emotions, I must say I've been working on this for a few months and here we are, very close to launch... well once you read this we'll be LIVE, live... oh gosh! On one side of the coin this is a really exciting time, we are really passionate about becoming full time creators and building a sustainable life as artists but on the other side all of those other pesky human emotions arise... fear, doubt, sheer terror. Yes sheer terror, it is actually a bit terrifying to put so much of your heart and soul, blood, sweat and tears out into the world and patiently wait... wait to see what reactions people have, if any at all. What if no one looks at our site, what if no one wants to buy something we've made, what if they don't like our music... all the what ifs, they help no one, yet we all feel them. So those are my what ifs today, maybe you are having some of your own and can relate, we could sit back over a cup of coffee and what if the night away but that wont help either of us.
Holding my breath... not literally, we'll launch, we'll send it all out into cyber space.
This blog will be a place to connect with us, read more about our journey, trials, tribulations and successes, projects, events and fundraising campaigns but it'll be much more than that. We'll be sharing with you step by step the fairly daunting task of hopefully finding, converting and moving into a school bus or some other type of bus that will become our home / studio. If that isn't enough we'll also use this blog to share with you the amazingly talented group of humans we surround ourselves with, those who we meet along the way and even those supporters (oh I hope we get supporters... Mom? Mom!) who have their own creative projects going on.
Nine minutes till midnight, back to the website building I go, we hope you enjoy your exploration of our creative minds, please come back. I promise to do my best to keep the blog raw, authentic, inspiring and entertaining.
Below is a photo from 12noon today off our deck, the raindrops in the old mans beard caught my eye so I grabbed my camera.
Much gratitude for visiting & until next time,
